Privacy Policy

1. Data protection laws and legal bases

We have taken technical measures to comply with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the Basic Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO) valid from 25 May 2018. Data is collected and stored exclusively in accordance with the principle of data economy.

In accordance with the Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO) in force from 25 May 2018, we inform you that your consents to the sending of e-mails are based on Art. 6 Para. 1a DSGVO and §7 Para. 3 UWG. The use of external dispatch service providers (see 9.), carrying out statistical surveys and analyses as well as recording the registration procedure, are carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1f DSGVO.

2. underage persons

Minors should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardian.

3. Storage of IP addresses

By accessing our web pages, your IP address is transmitted and stored by us for security purposes for a maximum period of 30 days (exception: see 5. Forms). This can be done in so-called technical server log data or in used visitor counter applications (see section 'Web Analytics Software'). The IP data of the stored log files are not evaluated for marketing purposes, nor are these server log files made accessible to third parties. This data is only stored for reasons of traceability for the technical security of our systems.

4. Use of Web Analytics Software

For data protection reasons, we do not use Google Analytics or other external third party providers. Alternatively, we use the freely available open source analytics software "PIWIK/Matomo", which is operated on one of our systems in Germany. To do justice to data economy, we make the IP addresses stored here anonymous by removing the last digit (e.g. 10.20.30.40 would become 10.20.30.xx). This shortened stored form of the IP address is also removed from the database after a maximum of 30 days. The analytics software used uses cookies to analyze and improve the use of our Internet offer. We respect the so-called "DO NOT TRACK" function of your browser. This allows a simple opt-out from this analysis. All analysis data serve only the internal side analysis and improvement of our offer, the data are not used for advertising purposes or made accessible to third parties.

5. Forms

The use of forms on this website is voluntary. Alternatively, you can contact us at any time by e-mail, telephone or post. The data collected within the scope of the contact forms will be used exclusively for processing your enquiry. In addition to the data entered by you, we also store the IP address used for sending for security purposes for an unlimited period of time for reasons of traceability.

Technically, we use the TLS (Transport Layer Security) security standard for all forms. This procedure, also known as SSL encryption, guarantees the confidential transport of the transmitted data from your browser to our server. Third parties thus have no insight into the transport route. You can recognize proper encryption in your browser by the usually green lock in the address bar.

Example:

The contact forms or requests submitted on the website are also forwarded by e-mail to the corresponding internal processor. Within the framework of the usual e-mail transport route, it is possible that the transmitted information is transported via third party mail servers. Technically, we also use TLS encryption methods here. The amount of data transmitted by e-mail is also limited to the required minimum.

6. Disclosure of data to third parties

Personal data, IP or visit logs will not be passed on or made accessible to third parties unless expressly stated otherwise.

In the course of technical data transmission and storage, however, it is necessary that the transmitted data, or parts thereof, are stored technically on devices / servers of external service providers, such as our hoster. Further details can be found in Section 9 "External service providers".

7. External Links

We point out that this website may contain links to external websites / providers, after calling up these links we have no influence on the following processing or the extent of the data collected by third parties. Clicking on an external link is tantamount to leaving the site; any further data processing is then carried out by the operator of the external site without our influence.

8. Revocation and data deletion

If it is not necessary for the further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract, you have the right to have previously transmitted personal data deleted by means of a revocation. Please address your right of revocation to our main address in the imprint.

9. External service providers

Servers are required to run a website. These are usually operated by external service providers, so-called hosters or data centers. When choosing service providers, we take care that they are not legally granted the right to use the stored data. Technically an access by e.g. employees of the data center is not completely excluded. For this reason we have contracts with appropriate service providers which do not permit the inspection and use of customer-specific data on our servers.

It is also possible that components from third parties may be used in certain parts of the site. These can possibly be downloaded via servers outside of Germany (example: social plugins). In this case, too, the provider has information about the IP address you are using. Furthermore, it is possible that the individual provider may use cookies without our being able to point this out separately. Under no circumstances, however, do we actively transfer personal data to these third parties. More on this in detail:

Facebook

For example, we use a connection to Facebook, which displays the latest posts on our homepage. In this case, your browser will establish a direct connection to Facebook. For example, if you are logged into the same browser with your Facebook account, the server operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA may log your visit to our website. Even if you are not a Facebook member, Facebook may still find out and store your IP address. For more information, please see Facebook's privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Proinity LLC

To speed up website delivery, we use a so-called CDN (Content Delivery Network) from proinity LLC, Ruemikerstrasse 60, CH-8409 Winterthur, Switzerland. Your browser opens some required resources and images via so-called mirror servers of the CDN provider. This allows the CDN provider to log your IP address and the time of your visit to the website. Apart from the IP and the page visited, however, no personal data is transmitted to or via the provider. Proinity's privacy information: https://www.keycdn.com/legal

Wildbit, LLC

For sending system and form emails we rely on the product "Postmark" of the US-based service provider Wildbit LLC, 225 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA, 19106 USA. Wildbit is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement "Privacy Shield" and thus commits itself to comply with EU data protection regulations. We have also concluded a data processing agreement. This is a contract in which Wildbit LLC undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process them on our behalf in accordance with their data protection regulations and in particular not to pass them on to third parties.

If you do not want your data to leave the EU, please contact us directly by e-mail or by post and refrain from filling out contact forms.

Div. Server Hoster

The contents of this site and the databases behind it are stored on a so-called web server. It is important to us to use servers located in Germany. The servers we use are located in one or more data centers operated by an external provider. Here we do not use so-called "Managed Contracts", but exclusively use self-managed "Root Servers". In this case the external hoster only takes over the operation of the hardware and the surrounding infrastructure, the software side is operated and maintained directly by us. We use different systems from the following suppliers:

  • aixit GmbH, Strahlenbergerstr. 14, 63067 Offenbach am Main
  • blackpoint GmbH, Friedberger Straße 106, 61118 Bad Vilbel
  • domainfactory GmbH, OskarMesster-Str. 33, 85737 Ismaning
  • Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen
